Transport and precise on-site installation of 300 precast concrete bridge girders (137 ft long / 42 m, 187,000 lb each / 85 t) were coordinated for multiple bridge structures on the Kicevo–Ohrid (Republic of Northern Macedonia) highway project.
Transport method:
Standard European heavy haul setup with truck tractor (steel suspension) + 4–5 axle dolly-type trailers for long-distance movement on mountainous roads and site access.
Equipment used:
Heavy crawler and mobile cranes ranging from 80 t to 500 t (440,000 lb to 1,102,000 lb)
Custom spreader beams, lifting lugs and tagline/tailing systems for controlled rotation and placement
All operations were executed safely and on schedule, with zero incidents and full compliance with project safety and quality standards.
